Candy Cane stocking holders Review & GiveAway!

The caring people over at Sterling Pear sent me these wonderful 4 piece Candy Cane stocking holders!

Are you aware that typical stocking hangers can be a major hazard to babies, toddlers, and young children?  Typical stocking hangers that sit on top of the mantel are often weighted down, can be very heavy, and often have sharp pointed edges.  If a child were to tug on the stocking such stocking hangers could easily fall and clunk the child on the head.
For real life stories of such injuries see the following article from MSNBC.

Sterling Pear offer three styles of stocking hangers that are lightweight and hold tight to the mantel surface.  They are designed so that the harder the child tugs on the stocking, the firmer the stocking hanger pulls down on the mantel and the tighter it holds.   The undersides have clear silicone strips that protect your mantel from scratches while holding tight and minimizing the risk of falling onto a little one's head.  And what’s more, if they ever did come off they only weigh a few ounces each and have smooth rounded edges!
I think this is a great and safe way to decorate for the Holidays having babies and pets in the home! Plus they are super cute!! Currently we do not have a fire place in our home here in Florida, BUT next year we will be living in Nebraska where i hope to have a home with a fire place!! For now this is where ours hang!

Sterling Pear is also giving away ONE "4 piece Candy Cane Stocking Holders Set" to one of my awesome readers!!
